On the 2nd day of CNY, I ate like I don't fathom the definition of 'FULL'.
Then, I got lazy; just like a PIG.
I curled up beneath the comforter, over-looked the crowded Gurney Plaza through the tinted windows.
For hours, I chat with the other pigs a.k.a my sisters.
When the glaring sun light waned, my hands got agitated...felt like trying tennis.
The courts have been there since year 2000 but i never laid a step there.
So,there we went. I swung the racket for the first time, hitting the heavy yellow ball. It felt great and fun. Hmm....this will be a good exercise when I'm feeling numb!
What happened on the next minute was totally out of my expectation. And actually out of all people expectation! Instead of hitting the swift yellow ball, the 'evil' yellow ball hit my right eye!"Ouch!" I murmured with laughters. My mom and sisters were gobsmacked for a second or two while laughters could be heard from behind. My dad was grinning,"tu pek e lu."
Yeah right, I know I'm stupid in estimating the speed of the ball and too slow to avert it. For the next half an hour,I sat by the bench rubbing the aching area in attempt to diminish the swelling effect. It would be a joke and embarassement to visit relatives and friends with a blue-black right in the eye as if someone had punched me. The sight of my sisters chasing after the yellow ball, tresspassing the other court and apologised to the Japanese couple was amusing as I was bored then.
Before rain dropped, ignoring the pain in my right eye , I jumped into the pool and swam. Admiring the small circling wave formed by the falling raindrops under the water was something refreshing. Soon, from the blurry vision I could see that my mum was beckoning at me,'home'. I was the last person then, deserting the pool until the next day come...
